FAQ's

1 - Yes, Collies come in two coat textures.  The more common long coated Collie and the smooth (short haired) Collie.

2 - Yes, we always have both coat varieties as our male is rough coated and our tri female is smooth coated.

3 - All our puppies are sold as pets.  We do not advocate breeding pet dogs.  Even some of our pups who could do well in the show ring are placed in homes to be companions.

4 -  All our dogs come with a 72 hour health guarantee as well as basic genetic guarantees for eyes, hips and Von Willebrand's.

5 - All our puppies are sent to their new homes current on vaccines, wormings, well socialized and having some basic training.

6 - We will always take back one of our dogs for re-homing.  We understand that there are  unforseeable catastrophe's that are a part of life and never want a puppy from our breeding to end up in a pound or rescue.  Always contact us first.  We will help in any way possible.

7 - Yes rough coated collies require extensive grooming.  They also blow coat twice a year and females when in season.  Smooth Collies will also shed their undercoat twice a year, just not so much of it.

8 - No registration papers will be given to a purchaser until proof of spay or neuter is given to the breeder.  In the case of a long distance purchase the puppy must be spayed or neutered before leaving home.

9 - Yes, we will check references.  We do not owe you a puppy and I do not have a problem telling you no.  Collies are the perfect dog in my home but they are not the perfect dog for everyone. 

10 - We would love to talk to you and if you have any questions I will do my best to answer them.

11 - Of course all of this applies to my Shelties also.  The only exceptions are the smooth coat indormation as theire are no smooth coated shelties.
